West Plant group is a breeder of field-grown vegetables and is specialized in raising vegetable plants in tray systems. Our priority is to deliver a contribution to your efficiency and harvest yield. Cultivating together with the “eye” on the future: That is what the West Plant group stands for! In 1974, the director at that time, Mr J.A. Verhalle, started a business at Arcen in Northern Limburg. By the end of the eighties, the company had grown to become a greenhouse complex covering 8 hectares (20 acres). West Plant group is one of only few family companies that do business with professional horticulturalists in Europe completely independently. In the mid-nineties, the company decided to specialize in tray plant systems. All plants are cultivated in ultra-modern cultivation units of a total of 22 hectares (54 acres). Plants are grown under a “convertible” roof, which hardens them in a natural manner. A hardened and vital plant can start growing optimally even under extreme weather conditions. Contacts with customers are maintained and deliveries of products across all of Europe organized from the main location in the Netherlands. To do this, West plant group has a number of trucks of its own and works together with an experienced transport company. West Plant group also has a greenhouse complex in Spain. |  | |||
